COUCH GUIDE

Each and every one of our couches is meticulously made by hand, from the construction of the frame to the upholstery of the fabric or leather. It can take anywhere from 4-8 weeks, depending on our factory’s capacity and availability of any raw materials (fabric, leather etc) needed for makeup of the items.

‘Manufactured’ refers to the items that are made by the Coricraft team in our Cape Town factory. This includes all our couches, as well as selected ottomans, upholstered headboards and a selection of upholstered dining chairs. It may take a few weeks to receive any items that are manufactured, as they are handmade from scratch to your specifications.

Under our ‘ready-made, ready to go’ section, you will find a selection of couches that have been made in a specific size and a specific fabric or leather. If this specific design and upholstery choice strikes your fancy, you are in luck: these couches have already been handmade by our team and we have a limited quantity available for delivery within a week or so.

At Coricraft, we only use A-grade hides, but no hide can ever be free of all blemishes. Since no two hides are exactly alike, you may notice natural markings and inconsistencies in colour, which add to the lived-in look of a genuine leather piece. Marks left by thorns, ticks or scratches add character and authenticity, and contribute to the beauty of your unique leather item. Some manufacturers ‘correct’ hides by polishing them to hide blemishes and natural markings, but this actually damages the leather and reduces its quality.

Our couches are available in different sizes and configurations, and most of our made-to-order range can be customised in terms of upholstery fabric or leather choice, but we do not offer customisations on dimensions or designs.

Take note of the care instructions on our Care guide and make sure to keep your couches or any other furniture out of direct sunlight. The fabric of your couches will fade even if you have had them fabric protected.

A cushion refresh is a complimentary service we offer at our warehouses. They will weigh your original cushions and recycle the filling. Should you wish to add any additional filling, the cost will be R90 per kilogram.

It is advisable to make an appointment with the relevant warehouse in order to ensure that your wait is short.

Corifill is the special ingredient that creates the super soft, plush cushioning of most of our comfortable couches!

Made from a special ball fibre, Corifill is springy, fluffy, non-allergenic, lightweight and voluminous, providing the best quality and utmost comfort. To maintain their shape and comfort, and to prevent them from going flat, you will need to turn and plump the cushions frequently.

We also guarantee our Corifill filling for 2 years. This means that you can come in at any time within the first 2 years of owning your couch for a free refresh! Even after your warranty has lapsed, you are welcome to book your cushion refresh which is complimentary. The is however, an additional charge per kilogram of Corifill if you wish to add more than the standard weight used. When moved to dry regions, some of the solid timber units will tend to crack. These cracks are normal for timber once it dries out. If you do not want your items cracking it is best to select veneer products. Cracks are a natural feature of solid timber which can enhance the character and uniqueness of the unit. However, these can be repaired or filled by the customer if they do not want this natural look.

Generally, once a table has cracked, it should not crack again. But this cannot be guaranteed as it differs from wood to wood. Humid areas do not really have a problem with the cracking of woods; it is mainly in the drier areas such as the Gauteng province.

Coricraft offers free delivery on all homeware (décor accessories). For all furniture items, you will be quoted based on your location and the distance from your closest Coricraft store.

The lead-time for delivery may vary, depending on the location and type of item purchased.

Custom-made couches, headboards and dining chairs

If you order a made-to-order (custom-made) couch, headboard or dining room chair, your order will be placed for manufacturing after full payment was received. The manufacturing time frame will depend on our current leadtime, which may vary from 4-8 weeks, depending on our factory’s capacity and availability of any raw materials (fabric, leather etc) needed for makeup of the items.

Wooden/imported furniture

If we have the ordered item available at one of our main distribution centres, your delivery will be booked by our team in 6-8 working days from the day of purchase. If the item is currently on back order and we are waiting for the next purchase order/container to arrive, we will call to inform you when the next container is expected to land and arrange your delivery date.

Accessories/homeware

Depending on your location, your order will usually be shipped within 2-4 business days after placing your order online. During sale/campaign periods, it may take up to up to 7 days.

If you order both a furniture piece and a homeware item, you may receive a part delivery, as we use a courier partner to deliver our homeware to your door.

Once we have discussed and booked your delivery, we will send you an SMS with your delivery date and time slot. After your package has left our warehouse and begun the delivery process, we will send you another SMS with a final confirmation and tracking number.

If you have ordered décor accessories, you can follow the stages of delivery on the shipping company’s website for an estimate on when your product will arrive.

Yes, we do, but unfortunately you cannot buy any items online to be delivered in Namibia or Botswana. Orders for Namibia and Botswana need to be placed with our respective stores in The Grove Mall in Windhoek and Game City Shopping Centre in Gaborone, and they will facilitate delivery.

We don’t currently have the option to Click and collect, but you can collect any large furniture items from your nearest warehouse.

Enter the voucher code in the box and click on 'Add coupon' to apply your discount. If successful, the price in your cart will be automatically updated to reflect the discount.

Before you proceed to checkout, please review the final price of your order to make sure the voucher has been correctly applied, as we are unable to apply a voucher after the payment has been completed.

If you are experiencing an issue when applying a voucher code, make sure that the code has been entered correctly and that there are no spaces in front or at the end of the code. It may be necessary to erase and re-enter the code. Another troubleshooting alternative is to either refresh the page or close your browser and reset your cache. Please make a note of your order as erasing the cache may empty your shopping basket.

In an effort to process and ship your order as quickly and efficiently as possible, there is only a short window of time during which you can change your order. We allow for changes to be made within 7 working days from the date of order. The changes can be made free of charge within the 7 days.

Yes, we allow for an order to be cancelled within 7 working days after an order was placed. If 7 days have passed and you wish to cancel your order, you can still do so but a 10% handling fee will be charged after 7 days have lapsed.

Your order confirmation and shipping details should be sent to you shortly after your payment has been accepted. It may take 1-2 business days for the payment to be accepted and the email order confirmation to be sent.
